OSU-OKC Works with OKC Charter School to Help Students Earn Associate Degree with Diploma

Twenty Oklahoma City 11th graders will begin college coursework this summer with the goal of earning a two-year associate degree by the time they graduate from high school.

The new dual-enrollment program is a partnership between Dove Science Academy, 919 NW 23, and Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City.

OSU-OKC President Natalie Shirley said the program - called EXCELerate Dove - builds on the relationship between the public charter school and the community college.

"Dove students are always exceptional students. They're smart, hardworking, typically leaders and good citizens," Shirley said. "They're at the top of everything a college or employer would want."
